New Dialup Internet Connection Setup - Windows 95/98/ME/2000

Click on Start, go up to Settings
and select Control Panel.

Select the Internet Options
icon (Double Left Click or Right Click and Left Click Open)

Now choose the Connections
tab and click Setup (Remove any accounts listed under Dial-up
Settings)

Select the third radio button
(I want to set up my internet connection manually...). Click Next.

Now select the first radio
button (I connect through a phone line and a modem). Click Next.

Select 56k v.90 or v.92 Modem
from the drop down menu. Click Next.
--This Step only shows up if you have Multiple Modems

Enter your Local Dialup Access number for
Schat.net.
Remove Check Mark from Dial using the area
code and country code. Click Next.

8. Now type your
Username@schat.net
and Password, given to you when we established your account. Click Next.

9. Type in Schat.net.
Click Next.

10. Select the Yes
radio button to set up your email account. Click Next.
11. Select Create a new
Internet mail account. Click Next.
12. Type the name you
would like to appear in the "From" field of your outgoing
messages. Click Next.
13. Type the email
address you were given when we set up your account. Click Next.

14. Select POP3 from
the Incoming Mail Server drop down menu. Type mail.schat.com in the
next two boxes. Click Next.

15. Enter Your Account name (username@schat.net)
and Password (make sure password is lower case). Put a check mark on Save
password
16. Check the box To
connect to the Internet immediately...Click Finish. You should
now be connecting to the internet. Congratulations!
