How to Login Router and config Security
	Operating System(s): Any Web Browser Application: Internet Options

1. Open web Browser (Click on  )
    

2. In the Address bar Type in the routers ip address
   i. Linksys http://192.168.1.1
   ii. DLink or Netgear http://192.168.0.1
   or if you do do not know the IP Address -
     i. Click on start, RUN, Type in Command, Click OK
    ii. At the dos prompt type in IPCONFIG
   iii. the number to the right of Gateway is your Routers IP Address
   iiii. test connection by pinging the gateway ip address
   iiiii. type ping 192.168.1.1
    

3. Enter in username and password
     i. Linksys Routers Username: empty Password: admin
    ii. DLINK Routers Username: admin Password: admin or admin and none
   iii. Netgear Routers Username: admin Password: password
    

4. Click on the wireless TAB and then (sometimes) Security Tab
    

5. You Should see Encryption Type and 4 Sections for codes
   i. section 1 is the code you want to use or change
    

6. Check what encryption the router is set to
   i. WEP security is the easiest security to use and usually default.
